Our Vision
To see a generation of boys grow into healthy, responsible and purposeful men who positively shape their families, communities and society.
Boys Health Initiative (BHI) is a purpose-driven initiative committed to the holistic development of boys and young men. We believe that raising healthier men begins with intentionally investing in boys today.
Boys Health Initiative is committed to helping boys grow into healthy, responsible and purposeful men. We create conversations, programmes and opportunities that help boys understand their health, develop healthy identities, build character, strengthen relationships and discover purpose.
We believe boys need more than instructions about what not to do. They need knowledge, guidance, positive role models and safe spaces where they can ask questions, express themselves and learn how to navigate the challenges of growing up.
Our work is grounded in a simple belief: investing intentionally in boys today is an investment in healthier men, stronger families and better communities tomorrow.
Our work is guided by a clear picture of the kind of men and communities we want to help shape.
To see a generation of boys grow into healthy, responsible and purposeful men who positively shape their families, communities and society.
To promote the holistic wellbeing and development of boys by creating programmes, conversations and opportunities that strengthen their physical health, mental and emotional wellbeing, character, relationships, faith and sense of purpose.
A boy's health is more than the absence of disease. We care about physical health alongside mental, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.
Character shapes the choices, relationships and responsibilities a young man carries into adulthood. We encourage integrity, responsibility, discipline and respect.
Every boy deserves the opportunity to discover meaning, direction and the responsibility that comes with his potential.
We encourage healthy expressions of strength, confidence, leadership and responsibility rather than teaching boys that strength means silence or emotional suppression.
Healthy relationships help boys develop empathy, confidence, communication skills and a deeper sense of responsibility toward others.
We believe boys do not grow in isolation. When boys are supported by families, schools, mentors and communities, everyone has the opportunity to become stronger.
We combine education, honest conversations, mentorship, community engagement and practical interventions to create meaningful opportunities for boys to learn, reflect, grow and take positive action.
Providing boys with practical knowledge about their health, wellbeing, identity, relationships and personal development.
Creating honest and meaningful conversations around subjects boys may struggle to discuss openly, including masculinity, mental wellbeing, relationships and responsibility.
Connecting boys with positive role models who can provide guidance, perspective, encouragement and examples of healthy manhood.
Working with schools, families, communities and partners because meaningful change requires more than working with boys alone.
Turning conversations into action through programmes, campaigns, outreaches and opportunities that encourage healthier choices and positive growth.
Boys Health Initiative is driven by people who believe that investing in boys is an investment in the future. Our team, volunteers, mentors and partners contribute their knowledge, experience and time to create opportunities for boys to learn, grow and flourish.
